We have been working on a wiki. This wiki consists of information on computers, parts, how they work, and what do the futur versions do and what they do?
In my group, we are doing CPU's/Processors
Sarah is How does it work.

RObyn's doing different types of CPu's
and Alex is doing what is a CPu.
Our group was workign well, until robyn left our schoool so we had to split her work among the group.
We have worked well as a group. However i left the group for a few lessons to do a bit of robot work. This left the group to do their own work. However i beleive that my work was done and all it needed was a bit of touching up.
Also after finishing off the wiki, i was able to find a nice background for my blog. What i found interesting was the fading in and out fo the background, and the design was quite appealing.
It took a while to understand where to paste the code in and how to edit my about me, but reading the codes, it was easy to understand by having previous experiences with myspace. I understood how to change the size of the font and how to change the colour.
This has been my experiences with the blog and the wiki.

In IST classes a group of friends have been experimenting with a robot lego. We have been constructing and making it work. This included reading the instructions, making a car, and programming it to do what you want it to do.
SO far we have been able to make it go, attach buttons on the end so that when it hits something the will reverse. The fault with this was that the car had to hit the object straight on or else the car would fall apart as the button isn't that strongly attached.
When programming the car, the system allowed us to turn the wheels at a certain power. If we make one wheel stronger than the other, it would cause it to turn. Programming was quite fun and we learnt how to make the car do different things.
Also the next lesson after that we were able to attahc a censor, however i was not with the group when they did this work as i was working with the wiki.
The next lesson i noticed that they got the car to follow the line, however as it was explained to me, the car was going in a zig zag direction as it was on the edge of the black line, by bouncing from white to black and back. They werre able to exytend the line further and still mkae the car follow it.

When you buy a computer is to important to know that you made the right deicsion when you bought your computer. So what do we need to consider when buying a computer? What are the components to buying a computer.
The Hard drive
You would want a computet that holds a lot of memory. You wouldn't consider a computer with less than 8 gigs.
Graphics Card
The graphics card helps shape the quality of what you see on your computer. You would want a minimum of 61 bit.
Function
What are you getting the computer for? Is it for your child who needs to do assignments? Or You the parent needing it for work purposes, is it there for a student who needs to do architect or a student doing movie making? Who will use it and why?
Warranty
a statement, either written, expressed or implied, providing assurance that some specified provision in a contract, such as a sale, is true. This will state, if the computer breaks, there will be a time warranty in which you can return and get a new one. e.g 1 year warranty.
Cost
Does the cost appeal to you. Is it something you can afford?
This is what i would consider when buying a computer. Usually my parents would be the one to choose. But if i was able to give a say, i would consider these components and base my opinion on this.

As a school Task i was asked to choose a printer that was right for my famiy and I. I had to consider little thigns and features that was suitable for my family. I chose the Lexmark X1270 All in one printer. This Printer can scan and with its image editing programme it is easy to edit and manage photo's of my family when we go on holidays. The manifacturer's warranty is 1 year, and the printer prints in colour and black and white. Cost of Cartidge refill is only $50 for the Black and white ink and the Colour ink is $55.
