In IST classes a group of friends have been experimenting with a robot lego. We have been constructing and making it work. This included reading the instructions, making a car, and programming it to do what you want it to do.
SO far we have been able to make it go, attach buttons on the end so that when it hits something the will reverse. The fault with this was that the car had to hit the object straight on or else the car would fall apart as the button isn't that strongly attached.
When programming the car, the system allowed us to turn the wheels at a certain power. If we make one wheel stronger than the other, it would cause it to turn. Programming was quite fun and we learnt how to make the car do different things.
Also the next lesson after that we were able to attahc a censor, however i was not with the group when they did this work as i was working with the wiki.
The next lesson i noticed that they got the car to follow the line, however as it was explained to me, the car was going in a zig zag direction as it was on the edge of the black line, by bouncing from white to black and back. They werre able to exytend the line further and still mkae the car follow it.
This was the progess of our robot car.
